Working principle: our solar air conditioner is the hybrid solar air conditioner. It is the solar thermal system, which use one set of solar collector to absorb solar energy and convert it into heat and then help the working of the compressor. So than help the air conditioner save electricity, about 30% or more compared to the normal air conditioner.

 

 

In order to understand our solar air conditioner better,I provide the FAQ as follows:
 

1. This product is 100% solar powered or solar and electricity hybrid system?

100% solar powered that means powered by solar PV panel,the cost is very high,around 5000 usd for 12000 btu,8 hours backup,because solar panel efficiency very low,maximum 17.5%,Our solar air conditioner is solar and electricity hybrid system,we use solar tube collector or solar flat collector,efficiency is 80%,that is why our price is much more competitive than price of solar panel powered air conditioner.

 

2. Why can it save 50% electrcity? What is the working principle?

   In short,the solar collector helps the compressor to heat the gas from 70 to 90 .The load of compressor can be reduced sharply,we use a smaller compressor.That is why the solar air conditioner can save electricity and increase the energy efficiency when cooling. Pls check the attached drawing(working principle).If you know the fluid mechanics,you can understand it better.

 

3.How long is the investment return,that means how long can we get the money back if we buy a solar air conditioner instead of a normal air conditioner?

Take 12000 btu for example,the power input is 1.350 kw per hour for normal air conditioner,our solar air conditioner is 0.85 kwper hour,so it can save 0.5 kw per hour,suppose the electricity bill is 0.2 usd/kwh,we use solar air conditioner,8 hours per day,6 month per year,0.5 kwh* 0.2 usd/kwh*8 h/day*30day/month*8month/year= 192usd/year

 

12000 btu saving 192 usd/year.

 24000 btu saving 308 usd/year.

 

 

 4.What is the warranty?

  For our solar air conditioner,1% (of total value)more spare parts will be offered for free.We will offer three years warranty for compressor.And we will 100% support you for the after-sale service.

 

5. How to save energy at night or rainy days?

 The tank is well insulated so it can store the heat and keep the gas warm without sunshine for 70 hours.

 

6.What are the differences between flat collector and tube collector?

The efficiency is almost the same, but vacuum tube is more suitable for hot places where summer is very hot.

While the flat plate type is suitable for cold places and flat type is more strong

 

 

7.what are the main  differences from normal air conditioner in components aspect?

    A.We use two groups of condensers,most of conventional a/c only use one condenser.
   B.we use 100% copper pipe,some conventional a/c use aluminium pipe
   C.we use 4 fold evaporator,conventional a/c use 1 or 2 fold evaporator
   D.we use Mitsubish or Toshiba compressor,some conventional a/c don\'t use brandname compressor.

   In short,our solar air conditioner is not just conventional a/c simply added a solar collector.Our spare parts are as good as Famous brandname like Toshiba,LG.

 

8.Compared with inverter air conditioner,what are the advantages of the solar air conditioner

As we know,inverter air conditiner only saves electricity when the temperature is fixed,and if we use smaller compacity inverter air conditioner for a bigger room,it can\'t save electricity,because the compressor runs non stop.

but our solar air conditioner can save electricity when the machine starts,and it saves  electricity in any sizes room.

Hybrid Solar Air Conditioning: A standard air conditioning system uses a compressor to increase the pressure on the gas, forcing it into a liquid in the condenser coil. The change of state of the refrigerant starts to take place approximately 2/3rds of the way down the condenser. A Solar Hybrid Air Conditioning System uses a different method. It uses the heat from the sun to superheat the refrigerant which enables it to begin changing state in the top 2/3rds of the condenser coil. By using this method it reduces the superheat of compression required to achieve the cooling process in the conventional cooling system as well as utilizing more of the cooling face of the condenser coil.Hybrid Solar Air Conditioning: A standard air conditioning system uses a compressor to increase the pressure on the gas, forcing it into a liquid in the condenser coil. It then travels into the outside condensing coils where it changes from a gas into a saturated gas (partial liquid). Typically this occurs in the final third of the condensing coil. From there the saturated gas passes through an expansion devise that allows the refrigerant to become a gas again. Once this happens it can absorb heat from the air passing through the inside coil of the air conditioner. From there the refrigerant goes back to the compressor where it starts the whole cycle again.Hybrid Solar Air Conditioning DiagramHybrid Solar Air Conditioning DiagramA hybrid solar air conditioning system uses the same basic equipment as a conventional system with a specialized solar collector that is placed between the compressor and the condensing coils. The primary task of the compressor is to pressurize and heat the refrigerant. The hotter it gets the better. A hybrid solar air conditioning system uses a highly efficient vacuum tube collector filled with an organic liquid product. The collector heats the organic substance to over 350 degrees using the power of the sun to superheat the refrigerant above what the compressor would be able to heat it with electricity. The resulting efficiency derived from the solar collector allows for the refrigerant to work more efficiently with no additional moving parts or motors. This increases the ability of the gas to change back into a liquid much quicker and dramatically reduces the energy requirement of the compressor. The gas now condenses back into saturated gas in the first third of the condensing coil not the final third. Therefore by the time the refrigerant reaches the expansion devise in the inside coil, it is already almost a liquid. This allows the near liquid refrigerant to be more efficient at absorbing heat, making it 5-6 degrees cooler in the inside coil, delivering colder, drier air to the building. Refrigerant Type - 407c or 410ThermoElectric Seebeck Effect Air ConditioningA full electrical heat to cold option without any mechanical work has such a low COP that at today's advances it is not practical.Two stages:The first stage, call it a thermoelectric generator, is the Seeback Effect where the heat from the solar collector is transferred into electrical energy. As with the thermoelectric coolers thermoelectric generators are currently very ineffective due to large leakage of heat through conduction from the hot to the cold side. This could as in the case with the thermoelectric coolers be prevented by a small vacuum gap between hot and cool side. Projected Carnot efficiency for a thermoelectric generator with a vacuum gap is according to Borealis exploration limited 70-80%, which is a very high efficiency.The second stage, is the Peltier Effect where electricity is changed directly into a temperature effect.Using the sun's energy through the Photovoltaics solar option instead of the first stage (using thermal solar to electric energy), then use thermoelectric cooling (Peltier) second stage has been experimented with more often and is more efficient than the combinations of Seebeck and Peltier. Advantages of the two stage thermoelectric is it would be a very compact system, no or few moving parts and can handle heavy vibrations.
